CHUCK HICKS, Happy Friday to you! Thank you for the "triple feature" of my photo THROW YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR (like you just don't care) haha.... in your group AAA IMAGES. I appreciate all your time.. sorry I'm so behind in my thanking you. So many features so much carpel tunnel syndrome... .

My dad used to love carving wood art pieces, anything from whittling flowers, to funny faces like these, to Welsh Love spoons and a gorgeous nativity scene...so I always have a soft spot for wood work! I think this art calls for the artist to really feel what is in the wood and work with that. And I always love a sense of humor! great capture, Kym! . . . .fav/v16

What a fantastic carving and how wonderfully you captured it, Kym ! Love this. f,v

Kym Backland replied:

Ana Maria, You as an artist appreciate, that I didn't carve the tree, and just took a picture of it. Many times I think I don't create art when I take this kind of picture, I am just sharing it Thanks for understanding that! Thank you for the vote and giving it your favorite too!

Artist's Description

This is the greatest local carving! I love how the man has gardening tools for hands, carved eyes with button for his colored eyes, nice Native American Indian necklace~ He lives in the woods, I wonder if birds sit on his head at night? Someone took a lot of time to carve this amazing piece of beauty.

About Kym Backland

Kym Backland

Capturing a moment in time, is one of the best emotions. I love seeing something thru the lens and holding it near you as long as you can. I like for that image to be caught by surprise. A pure emotion. That to me is usually the most interesting. Anyways.... Photography is my medium. I do enjoy photographing those "Funny Animals" I see along the way........Laughter gets you thru a lot of hard times...I appreciate you taking the time to see what I see..... As you might have noticed I have never written a biography about myself for over 2 years. I figured I had better write one now. I'm definitely not going to write my "BIO" in the third person, so that I sound more important than I really am. Should I warn you that I have "run on"...
