On this day you could see layers of blue mountains for miles! The clouds were soft and puffy, What a great day to ski... There aren't many more of these ski days left. 1960s Crystal Mountain Resort opened in December 1962 with two double chairlifts. The first of these lifts, Miner's Basin was decommissioned in the summer of 2011. Its route was close to that of the new gondola and ended by the top of the Exterminator and Deerfly runs. The other original lift (Iceberg Ridge) was removed when the current Rainier Express chair was built. The site, just northeast of Mount Ranier National Park, was chosen after some Tacoma skiers were unable to start a resort within the boundaries of the park.

Capturing a moment in time, is one of the best emotions. I love seeing something thru the lens and holding it near you as long as you can. I like for that image to be caught by surprise. A pure emotion. That to me is usually the most interesting. Anyways.... Photography is my medium. I do enjoy photographing those "Funny Animals" I see along the way........Laughter gets you thru a lot of hard times...I appreciate you taking the time to see what I see..... As you might have noticed I have never written a biography about myself for over 2 years. I figured I had better write one now. I'm definitely not going to write my "BIO" in the third person, so that I sound more important than I really am. Should I warn you that I have "run on"...

One of my favorite places in the PNW. My Dad skied for free there starting at 70 and by the time he hit 75 they cancelled the program and he started paying again. Skied til he passed away at 83. This is a great shot!
