Description
This is the little baby runt, he is so scared, He hides under the Adirondack chair. He has a sunflower seed stuck in his right eye. (left on the screen). Most recently I had to move the chair to clean, and to let the deck and chair dry out. This little feller did not like it at all. He wants his chair put back over here. How can you not love this little face. I better get the cleaning done so he can move back under the chair. This seed in his eye was really bothering him.
Some facts about Raccoons...
Raccoons are large mammals, most often seen dead on roadsides or at night going through garbage cans. They are shy creatures, active at night.
Raccoons are often thought to be close relatives of weasels, but they are actually more closely related to pandas.Their fur is grayish brown with black markings. Raccoons are easily identified by the black mask on the face and a bushy tail with four to six black rings.
Raccoons den in hollow trees, fissures in rocks, caves, or burrows (usually old fox, woodchuck or skunk burrow). They almost always live near water. They will also move into a muskrat house. Raccoons are omnivorous and eat almost anything, including: nuts, berries, acorns, leaves, grasshoppers, crickets, grubs, worms, dragonfly larvae, clams, wasps, salamanders, frogs, crayfish, snakes, turtles and their eggs, bird eggs and nestlings, fish, voles, and squirrels. They often eat garbage scraps and at times have been seen eating dead animals on the sides of roads.

I really like your raccoon series Kym. This one is so adorable. I started a series of pencil drawings of wild life. Could I have your permission to draw this little fellow. I would credit your name as the photography of course.

What a great close up shot of your little friend - he's actually quite adorable! And to be able to actually see that small little sunflower - amazing detail Kym. Once again you've brightened my day and brought a smile to my face. It seems they love your deck furniture and consider it home! Love this. F/V S
