Description
This young baby raccoon (baby's first day out), was so scared! He is in that typical " Halloween Cat Look".. his back is up, his hair is standing on end! Poor little feller. He's scared of everything. He is wet from running through the forest with his Mom. The little feller's eyes are still blue, so I know he is young. It is hard to get any photos of the baby. Mommy is blocking him from my view, and I can't get too close. I have a long lens on, and stay far away. I don't want to get hurt... I hope the baby doesn't get hurt either..

Kym---congratulations on your WFS feature! He is cute---we now have five and they are into all the bird feeders. Any suggestions?

Nava Jo, Thanks for sending me the congrats! I appreciate it.. I put my bird feeder WAY UP HIGH.. this is the only way I can keep them out of my seed... I have a whole system with ropes that I use..

Oh, good gosh! This really took me aback, because I just realized I've never seen a little baby raccoon before! He looked bigger in your other photos (or perhaps it was another youngster). Made my day! Love that you caught his hair on end.
Kym Backland replied:
Patricia, I know what you mean. Even when I am taking the picture, if you don't have a "bigger" raccoon next to the little one, you can't tell how small he is..
