I like the lighting on your darling racoon babies. The little highlights around them help to seperate them from the background. Nice use of DOF. Nice to have the faint catch lights in their eyes.

Artist's Description

The fight for the top of this stump continues. This bigger sibling is trying to push his little brother off the stump. He tries to get traction and stay in his lane! hehe. It's amazing how much bigger the other coonie is getting. I don't know how long this stump is going to last. It's really getting a workout and has been dead for a few years. I think I am going to have to put a brace on it or something. Not sure that is going to work. Anyways, another day in the life of the racconies..
Bandit-masked raccoons are a familiar sight just about everywhere, because they will eat just about anything. These ubiquitous mammals are found in forests, marshes, prairies, and even in cities. They are adaptable and use their dexterous front paws and long fingers to find and feast on a wide variety of fare.In the natural world, raccoons snare a lot of their meals in the water. These nocturnal foragers use lightning-quick paws to grab crayfish, frogs, and other aquatic creatures. On land, they pl...

About Kym Backland

Kym Backland

Capturing a moment in time, is one of the best emotions. I love seeing something thru the lens and holding it near you as long as you can. I like for that image to be caught by surprise. A pure emotion. That to me is usually the most interesting. Anyways.... Photography is my medium. I do enjoy photographing those "Funny Animals" I see along the way........Laughter gets you thru a lot of hard times...I appreciate you taking the time to see what I see..... As you might have noticed I have never written a biography about myself for over 2 years. I figured I had better write one now. I'm definitely not going to write my "BIO" in the third person, so that I sound more important than I really am. Should I warn you that I have "run on"...
