Even with his scooter, it would take this man a long time to go....... wherever he was going! It made me feel sad, but then he was out there doing it!

This is real, and I like that. I work with broken veterans every day, and many could have been in this chair. I appreciate any clear indication, like this, of the condition of many of our elderly, veteran or not. Thank you. l/f

Wow, my heart goes out to him, reminds me of my mother in the last few years of her life!! Beautiful capture of this emotional piece!! F/V
Kym Backland replied:
Barbara, You get it! It really does tug at the heart strings. But, the guy was out there, and going! It was on a "highway"! I was proud of the guy, and terrified someone might hit him with their car. So bless his heart... He was living life! Thanks for your kind words Barbara, and your votes and favor!

Andreas, Again, thank you so much! I took this picture with my camera out my car window, leaning out to get this picture! I did not want to scare the man, but it was such a shock to see this man, all alone on this highway! At first it made me very sad, then I realized he is OUT ...ENJOYING LIFE! So thank you for looking at this photo and your votes and favor too!

This is such a great photo with a perfect title! It definitely deserves first place. F/V I guess a tie would split the pot.
Kym Backland replied:
Oiyee, Thanks so much for your favor and vote! They don't split the pot, from what I understand...I appreciate your comments, and reading my rant too! haha

This won FIRST place in the ALONE contest hosted a few weeks back. I was excited that I recieved notice I had won 150 bucks, then I am told it was a tie, and that I did not win FIRST place... So how does this work? It was an FAA sponsored contest.. How does it work in the case of a tie? Most of the time it doesn't matter, but "money" is involved, it matters.... Just would like it to be FAIR!
